Ed Sheeran unveils Happier music video, featuring lookalike puppet from his Sing video

The track serves as the fifth single from Ed's latest album - and it's already charted inside the Top 10.

Ed Sheeran has released the music video for his new single, called Happier. 

The track is the fifth single from his ÷ album, which has sold almost three million in the UK to date. Happier also came out on top in an Official Charts poll on which single Ed should release next from the album.

The clip sees the return of Ed's lookalike puppet from the Sing video and sees him pining over a lost love. Watch below: 

Happier follows ÷'s chart-topping singles Shape Of You and Perfect, plus Number 2 hits Castle On The Hill and Galway Girl. They all feature in the Official biggest songs of 2017.

Happier proved one of the more popular tracks on ÷ right from the get-go, debuting at Number 6 the week the album was released. It has since notched up over 400 million streams worldwide, 61 million of which are UK plays, according to Official Charts Company data. Look at Ed Sheeran's complete Official UK Chart history here.

Ed is currently on a worldwide stadium tour, which reaches the UK and Ireland on May 9 and includes four dates at Wembley Stadium in June.

Took him long enough! :D Really glad to see 'Happier' finally get released as an official single, though I do think it will have trouble beating its initial peak of #6 over a year after the album's release. Unless it can reach the Top 10 again by itself and then get the remix treatment like 'Perfect' did, I can't really see this going Top 5.
