Sadly a representation of today's young generation considering where Jim.Radfords' The Shores of Normandy entering at a lowly 72😟..You record buyers or charts wouldn't exist if it wasn't for him and all the brave D-day veterans that gave their lives for our freedom..That song moves me more than anything in the charts and for good reason😢.sorry but I'm a sentimental old school Brit that hates tne streaming generation with no understanding of our proud history.🇬🇧
Mild rant over.

I totally agree with everything you have said. The streaming platforms have a big say on the charts like Spotify who control songs on the playlist. Something has to change. Older artists are lucky to make the top 40. Look at someone like Kylie. It’s not a true representation of popular songs today.

Is this a chart first, the top 12 are all non movers. The chart is ridiculous. It’s getting like the billboard chart. Streaming has really slowed things down.

Why did Lewis Capaldi´s Song Bruises re entered the Hot 100 and debut un the Top 40?? Is it the new Single? I know it has overtaken Grace but why did that happen?

Well deserved that Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber´s Song I Don´t care is number one once again for a fourth consecutive week. Ít´s a great song and one of the best songs of 2019 so far!!! That´s really weird that the Top 10 didn´t have a change in it at all.

It's really the acoustic version of 'I Don't Care' that kept it out in front this week! We'll see if the original version is still strong enough to give it another week at #1 next week.

I like a lot of the debuts this week, especially 'Never Really Over' being the biggest new arrival! :)

By the way, to any OCC moderators or authors (or any other chart-watchers for that matter), do you know the last time the Top 10 had no change in it at all?

Probably 1983 when there was no chart published over the Xmas period. This was the last year where a chart was not published after Xmas. I may be wrong.

I was going to say, I'd have thought it had happened at some point before, but yeah, they just didn't post any charts before 1983 if the chart day fell on a holiday, right?

This is actually the 1st time it's ever happened in a regularly compiled chart. The previous record was on 30th June 2016 when the entire Top 8 were non-movers, but now we've got the entire Top 12!

Hey Gameskiller! Thanks for this. :)
I thought it might've happened once before, but given streaming is taking over more as time goes on, this might not even be the last time this happens this year!
