Drake may only be asking for One Dance, but it's a long one – he doesn't show much sign of leaving the dancefloor any time soon.

The Canadian rapper has notched up 92,500 combined chart sales to score an impressive seventh consecutive week at the top, giving him the longest run of 2016 so far.

One Dance also claims the longest straight stint at Number 1 since Leona Lewis's Bleeding Love also enjoyed a seven-week reign atop the Official Singles Chart in autumn 2007.

Drake's One Dance, feat. Wizkid and Kyla, was the most streamed track of the last seven days too, racking up almost 6.68 million plays this week.

Despite a close battle earlier in the week, Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop The Feeling remains at 2, while Calvin Harris and Rihanna's This Is What You Came For (3) and Sia's Cheap Thrills (4) are also non-movers.

No Money, from Swedish electro pop duo Galantis, rises one place to break into the Top 5 for the first time.

New entries and high climbers

US singer Gnash makes a big leap – his breakthrough song I Hate U, I Love U zooms 21 places to Number 12 – while Cheat Codes and Kris Kross Amsterdam advance ten spots to Number 20 with Sex.

Take That score a 27th Top 40 hit thanks to their guest spot on Sigma's Cry, new at Number 21, and Australian trio Cookin’ On 3 Burners team up with French producer Kungs on This Girl, which rockets 62 places to land at Number 29.

Craig David's One More Time is brand new at 30, and following her mesmerising performance at the Billboard Music Awards, Pink's Just Like Fire returns to the Top 40, rising eight to 36.

Streaming should be banned. It is completely ruining the popular charts and is so unfair and ageist.

Sadly Spotify and Youtube will not budge on this as it's more for their mega deep pockets in revenue. Streaming effectively has killed off veteran acts so blame the younger generation of today for this.

Justin Timberlake deserved to be #1! He tops iTunes with huge lead everywhere in the world. That streaming bullsh**t kills the charts. He sold x3 more than Drake did!!! This is nonsense.

absolutely agree because in the time drake has BEEN NO.1 on the iTunes chart it has been drake no.1 for three weeks, Calvin Harris no.1 for two weeks and Justin Timberlake looking good at no.1 for a third week. streaming is a waste of the charts time it should just be left separate and that be the end of it!!

I agree, I'm getting bored of One Dance too. And by the way, 'BS' has eight letters when spelt out.

Not that ITunes determines ALL sales, but you have a good point. ;lus you can stream songs over and over again but can only buy them once.

The charts would not be representative if they didn't include streaming, it's absolutely massive nowadays.

Funny because I love Drake but not that into this song. I love Justin Timberlake's new song. It should have been #1. Streaming have killed the charts when it's counting for more than sales.

I was really hoping Justin Timberlake would go No.1 this week, I'm not his biggest fan but that song is such a bop.
