Drake has revealed details of his new album, called Scorpion.

The Canadian rapper will release his fifth album in June, as revealed by Drizzy himself on Instagram. Drake was pictured wearing a jacket emblazoned with 'Scorpion' and 'June Twenty Eighteen'.

UPDATE: Drake announced that Scorpion will be released on June 29, sharing the date and artwork on Instagram.

While fans were at first wondering if the tease was related to a new single or album, Rolling Stone confirmed that Scorpion is the name of his next record. Scorpion follows 2017's More Life playlist project, and the Number 1 album Views, released in 2016.

It is expected that Scorpion will include Drake's two recent UK Number 1s on the Official Singles Chart, the nine-week leading God's Plan, and the current chart topper Nice For What, which reached the top spot last Friday

The Scorpion era is proving to be a huge one for Drake; the album already has two UK Number 1 hits, plus the success of God's Plan led to him becoming the act with most weeks spent at Number 1 this millennium as a lead artist.

God's Plan is so far the biggest single of the year based on sales and streaming data compiled by the Official Charts Company. View the full UK Top 40 biggest songs of 2018 so far
