DJ Fresh has announced his retirement from touring, revealing he's grown tired of he calls a "fake, soul destroying" industry.

The drum n bass producer posted a message on his Facebook saying he will fulfill his touring commitments until the end of the year but then quit to "begin the next chapter of my life". Read the full message below:

"I cannot continue to be part of this industry," he wrote. "I hate everything about it. It's fake, soul destroying and promotes everything BUT experimentation and heartfelt emotion (which is what music means to me)."

Fresh - real name Daniel Stein - doesn't mention retiring from music altogether, though his post suggests his future music will fall more in line with the sound of his drum n bass group Bad Company, which he was a part of before his breakthrough smash Louder in 2011.

To date, DJ Fresh has 10 Top 40s on the Official Singles Chart. His third album, Nextlevelism, reached Number 14 in 2012. Check out his full Official UK Chart history here
