As OfficialCharts.com reported yesterday, American rock veterans Queens Of The Stone Age and British electronica rookies Disclosure have locked horns in the battle for Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart.

Today, OfficialCharts.com can reveal that this is shaping up to be one of the tightest races of the year, withDisclosure closing the gap overnight, and trailing QOTSA by less than 50 copies.

Josh Homme’s QOTSA has had the upper hand in the Official Albums Chart race all week, but with Reigate siblings Guy and Howard Lawrence steadily narrowing the gap, will they secure the top spot as the week draws to a close? Make sure to check OfficialCharts.com tomorrow for the latest updates.

…Like Clockwork is QOTSA’s sixth album and is set to be their highest chart placing ever, while Disclosure have amassed a strong following with a string of hit singles in recent months, spearheaded by the Number 2-peaking White Noise FT AlunaGeorge.
