Dermot Kennedy returns to Official Irish Albums Chart top spot with Without Fear

Tom Misch & Yussef Dayes claim a Top 50 entry.

Dermot Kennedy has returned to Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart with Without Fear.

The release of Dermot’s new EP Lost In The Soft Light (not eligible for the Official Irish Albums Chart) has created a domino effect onto his debut album, which reaches the top spot for the first time since January.

Without Fear has now spent nine non-consecutive weeks at Number 1; the last time a debut album by an Irish act racked up as many weeks at the top spot was Kodaline’s In A Perfect World, which also notched up nine weeks across 2013-2015.

Following this concert on the video game Fortnite, Travis Scott’s album Astroworld catapults up the Top 50, rising 35 places to Number 12, its highest position for 87 weeks.

Finally, UK singer and producer Tom Misch scores his second Top 50 album with What Kinda Music, a collaborative project with London jazz musician Yussef Dayes (40).
