Coldplay's Top 10 most-streamed songs on the Official Irish Charts

As the iconic British rock band release their new BTS collaboration My Universe, we investigate their biggest hits of the streaming age.

Coldplay have been one of the biggest bands in the world for the past two decades, continuing to entertain at the highest level to this day.

As the British rock group prepare to release their collaboration with Korean boyband BTS titled My Universe, we reveal their Top 10 most-streamed songs on the Official Irish Charts. See the Top 10 in full at the bottom of the article, but first, a deep dive into the Top 3.

3. Yellow

Despite Coldplay having singles chart success to this very day, their iconic back catalogue cuts through their newer hits when it comes to streaming, with fans often going back to revisit their golden greats. Breakthrough single Yellow is a token fan favourite which is still popular over twenty years since its release. 8.9 million streams have been logged in Ireland - not too shabby for a song that was arbitrarily named after the yellow pages telephone directory.

2. Viva La Vida

Coldplay well and truly arrived globally with Viva La Vida, taken from their third of five Irish Number 1 albums Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends. A Number 1 hit in both the UK and the US, Viva La Vida topped out at Number 3 on Irish shores. To date, the storming track has amassed 9.6 million streams.

1. Something Just Like This (with The Chainsmokers)

Way out in front with a whopping 16.8 million streams is Something Just Like This, Coldplay's collaboration with EDM duo The Chainsmokers. The lead single from their Kaleidoscope EP, Something Just Like This was a genius move from the band, who took the optimistic, serotonin-soaked styling of big hits such as Adventure of a Lifetime and Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall and dialled it up to 11. Something Just Like This peaked at Number 3, held off from reaching any higher by Ed Sheeran around the time he released his ÷ album.

#ChartFact: Coldplay have never had a Number 1 single in Ireland! Their highest chart position is Number 2, logged by In My Place and Paradise.
