Coldplay release brand new single Hypnotised from Kaleidoscope EP

The new track coincides with Chris Martin's birthday.

Coldplay only just released their latest single Something Just Like This last Wednesday, but now they've debuted yet another single which comes from their upcoming EP.

Hypnotised is one of five tracks that will feature on the Kaleidoscope EP, which was today (March 2) given the official release date of June 2. The release of Hypnotised coincides with frontman Chris Martin's 40th birthday, with the track being available to both download and stream right now.

An official lyric video was also premiered, which can be viewed below.

Kaleidoscope will be the 12th EP of Coldplay's career; others include Live in Madrid, Prospekt's March and iTunes Festival: London 2011.

The Kaleidoscope name and imagery follows on from the theme of Coldplay's last full studio album A Head Full of Dreams which became Coldplay's seventh consecutive Number 1 studio album. The only other band in UK chart history to achieve this same flawless streak of albums is Oasis.
