Calvin Harris is to release a new collaboration with Normani.

The One Kiss producer is teaming with the Love Lies vocalist for a song to be released "in the next few days", according to the former Fifth Harmony star.

Normani revealed the news at the American Music Awards to both Billboard and Entertainment Tonight. Elaborating on how the collaboration came about, The X Factor USA graduate told the latter news source: "He just like, reached out and he was like 'yo, what do you think of this?' I was like, 'this shig is fire!' I am a huge fan of his."

If the song is dropping in the next few days, then Calvin may become one of his own Official Chart challengers; the Scot is currently Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with Sam Smith and their track Promises.

Speaking of Sam Smith, Normani confirmed he and her "definitely laid some vocals down" together, teasing another huge single in the pipeline.

Promises faces stiff competition on this week's chart if it wants to earn a sixth week at the top. As of Monday's Official Chart Update, Calvin & Sam were just 2,000 combined sales ahead of their nearest rivals, Dave and Fredo with Funky Friday.
