BTS's new single Butter lands straight in at Number 1 on Billboard Hot 100, becoming their fourth US chart-topper.

The group's latest track - their second to feature entirely English language lyrics - picked up 32.2 million streams in 242,800 downloads in its opening week to claim the top spot, Billboard reports.

Butter secures BTS a fourth Number 1 in the space of nine months in America, following last year's Dynamite, Life Goes On, and the remix of Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo's Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat).

It's the quickest accumulation of four chart-toppers since Justin Timberlake in 2006-2007, and the quickest for a group since the Jackson 5 in 1970.

On the Official Chart, Butter debuted at Number 3, matching the peak of Dynamite to be their highest charting single in the UK, and becoming their third Top 10.

Last week, Butter smashed several Guinness World Records, including most plays on YouTube in its first 24 hours, at 108,200,000 views, and for the most viewers during its premiere, with 3.9 million concurrent viewers.

On Spotify, Butter set a new record for most global streams in one day at just over 11 million, overtaking Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran's I Don't Care in 2019 (10.977m). BTS are now the most-streamed act on Spotify, overtaking previous leaders Coldplay.

No surprise. In the UK it could've done much more, but nope, many English people are racists and discriminate against South East Asians and prefer to stream their sad pop or "summer" escapism dance bulls*** like Friday (Dopamine Re-Edit) or problematic youth music like drill.

Ultimately, eff streaming. BTS gets screwed by UK streaming sales.

I know #3 is a great feat but I feel like BTS is deserving better commercial performance.
