Wreck-It Ralph proves no match for Bruce Willis as A Good Day To Die Hard tops Official Video Chart!

A Good Day To Die Hard, the fifth instalment of the Die Hard series, has gone straight in at Number 1 on the Official Video Chart.

The action thriller, which stars Bruce Willis as wise-cracking cop John McClane, and Jai Courtney as his on-screen son John ‘Jack’ McClane Jr, has knocked Disney’s latest animated film Wreck-It Ralph (Number 5) off the top of the Official Video Chart.

A Good Day To Die Hard has also gone in at Number1 on the Official DVD and Official Blu-ray format charts, and the Official Film On Video genre chart, too.

Steven Spielberg’s historical drama, Lincoln, is new in at Number 2 on the Official Video Chart, while Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty enters at Number 3. Quentin Tarantino’s western epic Django Unchained (Number 4) completes this week’s Top 5.

New Entries

In addition to A Good Day To Die Hard (Number 1) and Lincoln (2), there are three other new entries on this week’s Official Video Chart.

Die Hard - Legacy Collection, which collects together Die Hard, Die Hard 2: Die Harder, Die Hard With A Vengeance, Die Hard 4.0 and A Good Day To Die Hard, is new in at Number 16, while Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra’s Sao Paulo concert DVD, Live In Brazil, enters at Number 36. Live In Brazil was also the biggest selling music DVD of the last seven days, going straight in at Number 1 on the Official Music Video Chart.

And finally, Season1 of House Of Cards, which stars Kevin Spacey, enters the Official Video Chart at Number 39.
