Hosted by Clara Amfo and Maya Jama, the ceremony will also feature performances from the likes of Anne-Marie and Glass Animals.

The nominations for 2022's BRIT Awards will be announced in an exclusive ceremony airing December 18.

The BRITs Are Coming will air on ITV next month, and will be hosted by Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo and presenter Maya Jama.

There will also be exclusive performances from some big UK music acts; including previous nominees like Joel Corry and Anne-Marie, as well as newly emerged breakout acts such as Glass Animals and Mimi Webb.

This year, the nominations for the BRIT Awards 2022 come as the ceremony has made the biggest change to its categories since its inception.

It was recently announced that for the 2022 BRITs, all awards will become genderless. Now, a single Artist of the Year award will replace the British Male and British Female awards.

The BRITs Are Coming will also announce the nominees for some brand-new awards; including four new genre awards (Alternative/Rock Act, Hip-Hop/Grime/Rap Act, Dance Act and Pop Act) all voted for by the British public and for the first time ever, the International Song of the Year.

From this year's BRITs, Dua Lipa took home the coveted Album of the Year award for second record Future Nostalgia, while Little Mix became the first girl-group to win Group of the Year, thanking acts like Girls Aloud and Sugababes in their speech.

The BRIT Awards 2022 air Tuesday February 8 exclusively broadcast on ITV and ITV Hub and hosted by Mo Gilligan.
