Lewis Capaldi has claimed Ireland’s Christmas Number 1 single for 2019.

Before You Go takes out a fourth week at the top, pipping Stormzy’s Own It ft. Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy (2) to the helm. Collecting the Christmas Number 1 caps off a terrific year for Lewis, which has seen him have more chart-topping singles and spend more weeks at Number 1 than any other act.

Stormzy’s Own It reaching Number 2 marks a new peak for the track, while the British rapper also claims this week’s highest new entry at Number 8 with Audacity featuring Headie One. Fellow Heavy Is The Head album track Lessons debuts at Number 15.

Alongside scoring this week’s Number 1 album, Harry Styles has three songs feature in this week’s chart. Adore You rises two places to a new personal best of Number 4, Watermelon Sugar is up 14 positions to become his fourth Irish Top 10 hit at Number 10, and Falling makes its first appearance at Number 22.

Arizona Zervas continues to scale the Top 10 with viral hit Roxanne, reaching a new high of Number 6.

Wham! claim the week’s highest-charting Christmas song with Last Christmas at 13 while The Pogues revisit the Top 20 with Fairytale of New York ft. Kirsty MacColl at 18. There’s a climb of 10 slots for Camila Cabello to 16 with her DaBaby collaboration My Oh My.

Lil Uzi Vert’s Futsal Shuffle 2020 debuts at Number 36, and finally, three Christmas songs park their sleighs back into the Top 50: John Lennon & Yoko Ono’s Happy Xmas (War Is Over) at 46; Chris Rea is Driving Home For Christmas at 47 and Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms lands at 49.
