Anne-Marie, KSI and Digital Farm Animals' Don't Play battle Olivia Rodrigo's Drivers License for Number 1 single

Plus Ariana Grande's 34+35 is set for a big new peak on this week's Official Singles Chart.

Anne-Marie, KSI and Digital Farm Animals' new collaboration Don't Play is battling for Number 1 on this week's Official Singles Chart, currently on course to be this week’s highest new entry at Number 2.

It could become Anne-Marie's highest-charting single as a lead artist, following 2018’s Number 3-peaking 2002. View Anne-Marie’s Official Chart history in full here.

It could also be a personal best for KSI and Digital Farm Animals; last November the pair reached Number 3 with Craig David collaboration Really Love.

Last week’s Number 1 single, Drivers License by Olivia Rodrigo, is set to extend its reign at the summit to a second week.

Ariana Grande’s 34+35 is on track to hit a new peak – currently up eight places to Number 3 - following a new version of the song release last Friday featuring Megan Thee Stallion and Doja Cat. View all of this week's new releases here.

Further down, three tracks are on course to reach new peaks this week: Tiesto’s The Business leaps seven places to 14, Nathan Dawe & Little Mix’s No Time For Tears also climbs seven spots to 15, and Goosebumps by Spanish-born producer HVME lifts five rungs to 20.

The Official Singles Chart Top 100 is revealed here on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Listen to the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1's Official Chart show with Scott Mills every Friday from 4pm.

, thats a lot of downvotes.

least i can say is good luck to both artists! obviously its gonna be hard to catch up with drivers license given the lead but i really like both songs. :)

oh, and please let the business tank... ;(

You know who's to blame for the former. :/

This Friday will just be a repeat of what happened last May!

I’m calling it now, whether people want to hear that or not.

There’s absolutely no way that anything is catching up with ‘Drivers License’ this week! :D

Is don’t play a collaborative project between ksi and Anne Marie or is one of them a lead artist in the song?

Top 10 hits of the year so far, based on total chart positions:
1 Little Mix - Sweet Melody 216
2 Ed Sheeren - Afterglow 210
3 CJ - Whoopty 207
4 Shane Codd - Get Out Of My Head 192
5 Ariana Grande - 34+45 189
5 Kid Laroi - Without You 189
7 Meduza ft. Dermot Kennedy - Paradise 182
8 Miley Cyrus/Dua Lipa - Prisoner 177
9 Taylor Swift - Willow 169

Looks like KSI and Digital Farm Animals could have a 2nd collaboration go top 10 of the year in February.

What?

4

Can we just let whoopty die already it clearly rips off pop smoke's dior which is a better song in Comparison and we don't need to hear someone rap about how he is addicted to blue cheese

5

Actually, it won't be Anne Marie highest lead artist Song with Don't Play, as it featured hit with KSI & Digital Farm Animal bu if people include that then you have to include 2016 #1 Rockabye w/Clean Bandit & Sean Paul.

avatar

Augustus Doministrix

2

Well yes it will be, as it’s her song and she is the lead artist of it just featuring those two

cant believe that overrated bieber is higher than talented dermot AGAIN.

P

PN

5

True. Paradise deserves so much more right now - 10/10 definitely for me that one

avatar

GS

3

10/10 from me too, like any other dermot song. anyone is a 0/10 though

P

PN

6

Nah. I don't like Bieber, but Anyone is one of his better tracks, a 6.5 or 7/10 for me. Outnumbered and Paradise are just so good

avatar

GS

3

yes!! outnumbered was one of my favorite songs from 2019

I'm pleased that there are some big climbers for EDM here, with; 'The Business', 'No Time For Tears' & 'Goosebumps' all on the rise! :D

Something's telling me that the hype behind the '34+35' will be very frontloaded & short-lived though, even though I actually like the remix almost as much as the original, haha.

avatar

GS

5

it plummeted from 5-21 on the spotify chart

avatar

Piran

6

That's why I think it'll fall throughout the week! :P

It'll probably still be in the Top 10 by Friday, but nowhere near as high as #3, haha.

P

PN

5

No Time For Tears has certaintly grown on me (as does pretty much every Little Mix single nowadays), so I'm happy to see its success.
34+35 was always a decent song, and the remix is no different, but you're right, the hype should be short lived

avatar

Piran

6

'34+35' is certainly a big improvement from 'Positions', at least for me! :P

avatar

Piran

8

'Don't Play' was meh for me unfortunately. :/

'Lighter' & 'Really Love' were far better, in my opinion!

P

PN

6

Same for me, but I'm happy for both the artists

avatar

Piran

6

Yeah, I definitely think KSI will finally get a #1 single very soon though. :)

GS

dont play 88/100
really love 90/100
lighter 79/100

avatar

GS

4

ksi just releases music at the wrong time. really love was released when positions was around and now there is nothing beating drivers licence

P

PN

5

Although to be fair, he couldn't care less, considering he has another massive job to go alongside his music

avatar

Piran

5

For me...

'Don't Play': 55/100
'Really Love': 87/100
'Lighter': 81/100

avatar

Piran

5

Yeah, it's more a case of bad timing for him right now! :P

P

PN

5

Nice to see KSI and Anne-Marie at 2. It won't get to number 1 because of Drivers License, but a new best peak for both KSI and Anne Marie.

avatar

GS

4

New peak for ksi but not for anne marie

P

PN

4

Really? 2002 only got to number 3

P

PN

4

I'm probably forgetting something, but still

avatar

GS

4

rockabye, number 1 for 9 weeks. its her peak as a lead artist though 🙂

P

PN

5

Yeah fair enough. She isn't credited by the OCC on Rockabye, which is why I forget she sings on it all of the time XD

avatar

BleeUK

4

Rockabye Got #1 as Feating artist Section, Don't Play is just like Feat as it got KSI to the mix

avatar

Piran

9

Nothing's catching up with 'Drivers License' for a while yet! :D

I'm so pleased to see it set to remain at #1 on Friday.

P

PN

4

No chance, absolutely no chance.
Another 11-week haul incoming?

avatar

Piran

5

I think it'll get at least eight weeks at #1 unless streaming absolutely crashes for it! :P

P

PN

5

Which it won't for some time, let's be honest :)

avatar

Piran

6

Not with well over one million per day, it certainly won't! ;)

avatar

GS

4

it will be #1 until adele releases her lead single to her album

avatar

GS

4

i think

P

PN

4

Which will be when?
I dunno when its coming out, bout you're right, if its soon, then we'll finally have a proper challenger for Olivia Rodrigo

avatar

GS

4

her album is supposed to be in april (if there is no delay) so the lead single could come in march ish

P

PN

4

Yeah, seems a realistic target, then

avatar

BleeUK

5

Yeah I Think Unfortunately in upcoming week for the Singles Chart it Be ACR like all others now on streaming for weeks data from 10th Week (If Still Actually Top By Streaming)

avatar

Piran

5

Yeah, a really big concern that I have with ACR is that it now becomes almost impossible for songs to spend more than 10 weeks at #1, even if they actually get enough combined sales to do so. :/
