Adele’s 30 reigns supreme on the Official Albums Chart this week, holding at Number 1 for a third week.

30 shifted over 73,000 chart sales in its third week on sale, comprised of 81% physical and digital download copies.

This week’s highest new entry is courtesy of boyband JLS, who debut at Number 4 with 2.0, their first album of original material in eight years. It becomes their sixth UK Top 10 collection.

Michael Buble’s Christmas rises into the Official Albums Chart Top 5 for the first time this year, while Andre Rieu and his Johan Strauss Orchestra enter the Top 10 with Happy Together, rising six places to Number 6. It’s now the celebrated Dutch composer’s 12th UK Top 10 album.

Following on from the news last week that Little Mix will enter an extended hiatus in 2022 to focus on solo careers, their greatest hits collection Between Us is up two to Number 7.

Meanwhile, just outside the Top 10 alt-pop band The Lottery Winners are a new entry at Number 11 with their third album Something To Leave The House For, their first Top 20 album and a career-best peak for them on the Official Albums Chart.

Following on from the release of a special boxset to celebrate its 30th anniversary, Nirvana’s iconic second album Nevermind is this week’s highest climber, breaking back into the Top 40 after vaulting 27 places to Number 24.

Further down, Dutch rock band Volbeat’s Servant of the Mind is straight in at Number 31, and finally Polo G’s Hall of Fame 2.0 debuts at Number 32. The collection is a deluxe, expanded edition of his recent album Hall of Fame which peaked at Number 3 upon its release earlier this year.

I didn’t even know that JLS put out a new album last week, but it’s cool to see them in the Top 5. :)
