Adele has performed her upcoming single I Drink Wine live for the first time in a new US TV special.

It was announced last week the excellently-titled track would serve as the second single from 30, the follow-up to the chart-topping Easy On Me.

Now, Adele has shared the first preview of I Drink Wine - performing it on her American TV special Adele: One Night Only last night (November 14).

Already a firm fan favourite due to its name alone, I Drink Wine definitely fit its description as a jazz-influenced ditty taking inspiration from Elton John and Bernie Taupin compositions of the 1970s.

"When I was a child every single thing could blow my mind," Adele sings in the Greg Kurstin production. "Soaking everything up for fun, but now I only soak up wine."

Fans will finally be able to hear I Drink Wine in full when it drops alongside the rest of 30 this Friday (November 19). UK fans unable to watch the US special can also catch An Audience With Adele on ITV November 21, where she'll also be performing a selection of new songs at the London Palladium.

This week is shaping up to be a big one for Adele - not only is she releasing her first album since 2015, but Easy On Me is once again in the midst of a heated chart battle with Ed Sheeran's Shivers

Easy On Me recently gained its fourth consecutive week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, but it's still all to play for this Friday as just 1,000 chart sales seperae Adele and Ed from the top spot.
