AC/DC have announced the release of their 17th album Power Up, which is preceded by the new single, Shot In The Dark.

The legendary rock legends will drop the LP next month (Nov 13), the first new music by the group since 2016.

Power Up's release also heralds the coming together of the band's surviving original members; Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd, Cliff Williams and Angus Young.

It will be the first time the rock icons have reunited for an album since 2008's Black Ice.

Upon its release, Power Up has the potential to be the band's fourth Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart.

Their last chart-topping LP came in 2010 with their contribution to Iron Man 2's Official Soundtrack, one of several blockbuster soundtracks to clinch the top spot, alongside Titanic and Saturday Night Fever.

Surprisingly, a UK Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart has eluded them in their illustrious career - their highest-peaking track was a 2012 re-release of their classic hit, Highway To Hell, which got to Number 4 (it originally peaked at 56 in 1979).
