AALIYAH

Aaliyah was one of R&B's rising stars in the late nineties and early noughties. She worked with the likes of R Kelly, Timbaland and Missy Elliot and is famous for hits such as Try Again, More Than A Woman and Rock The Boat. Sadly, aged just 22, she was killed in a plane crash in August 2001.

Such a shame that she got robbed more hits on the Billboard Hot 100. 'Are You That Somebody?' was totally robbed a top 10 hit. It should have peaked about #5 on the Billboard charts. 'One In A Million' would have peaked at #25. '4 Page Letter' would have peaked at #59 or #55. Thankfully this rule was removed at late 1998.

How did you come to these estimates? I'd like to calculate for some other songs from this era that weren't released as singles.
