Jane McDonald was born April 4, 1963 in Wakefield, Yorkshire and is an English singer, songwriter, actress, media personality and broadcaster. Jane McDonald first sailed into the public’s affections as part of the BBC observational documentary The Cruise in 1998, where she was seen entertaining punters on the Galaxy ship traveling around the Caribbean. Jane McDonald proved to be a hit with viewers, signing a record contract and releasing a UK Official Album Chart Number 1 debut album in June 1998. Jane McDonald became a regular TV fixture, appearing for several years as a panelist on Loose Women, and the BAFTA winning Cruising with Jane McDonald.
