Morgan Wallen is a US country music singer and songwriter. Born in Tennessee and rising to prominence as a contestant on The Voice US in 2014, his music blends traditional country with elements of rock and hip-hop.
A star in his native home, Wallen made his first UK chart appearance in 2021 with second album Dangerous - The Double Album, entering the Official Albums Chart at Number 77. His first foray into the UK Top 40 came in 2023 with follow-up album One Thing At A Time (40). The album spawned Wallen's first UK-charting single too, Last Night was Morgan Wallen's debut on the Official Singles Chart, peaking at Number 28.
On 17 May 2024, Morgan Wallen achieved a personal best breakthrough moment in the UK as Post Malone collaboration I Had Some Help became his highest-charting song to date, entering straight in at Number 2, giving Wallen his first ever Top 10 single here, and another sign that the adoption of country music was in full swing in Britain in 2024.
