RICHARD HAWLEY

Richard Hawley was born January 17, 1967 in Pitsmoor, Sheffield and is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer. Richard Hawley’s music career began when at the age of 19, his band Treebound Story recorded a John Peel session. Richard Hawley joined the Longpigs in 1993, who released a pair of well-received albums, had a stint as an extra guitarist in Pulp and recorded an album under the name Relaxed Muscle with Pulp’s lead lungsmith Jarvis Cocker. Richard Hawley’s solo career has seen him issue eight albums, be nominated twice for a Mercury (with Cole’s Corner in 2006, and Standing at the Sky's Edge in 2012) as well as two BRIT Award nominations for Best British Male Artist in 2008 and 2013. Richard Hawley has collaborated with Lisa Marie Presley, Shakespears Sister, Arctic Monkeys, Manic Street Preachers, Elbow, Duane Eddy, and Paul Weller.
