Barcelona DJ Sak Noel is set to become the 12th consecutive new chart-topper in Sunday's Official Singles Chart, according to today’s Official Chart Update. Noel's single Loca People is on course to pip Goo Dolls Iris to the top spot, a week after Dappy's No Regrets became the 11th successive new Official Number One.
While Loca People is making its impact following a run of success in charts around the continent, Iris is on course for its highest chart position thanks to a performance of the song by contestant Frankie Cocozza on last weekend's X-Factor.
In the Official Albums update, it is James Morrison who is making an impact - his latest album The Awakening is on course for the number one spot this Sunday, ahead of the past two number one albums by Kasabian and Ed Sheeran.
Four more albums look set to burst into the Official Albums Top 10. Nevermind by Nirvana and Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd are both on course to return to the upper reaches of the chart after being released in remastered versions. In turn, Blink 182's new album Neighbourhoods and Mastodon’s The Hunter are both set to enter the Top 10 this Sunday.
