Shout out to Little Mix - it looks like the girls may keep hold of the Official Singles Chart Number 1 this week.

According to today’s Official Chart Update, following their performance at the Radio 1 Teen Awards yesterday, the group’s latest track Shout Out To My Ex is charging towards a second week in pole position, currently 21,000 ahead of their closest competition, James Arthur’s former Number 1 Say You Won't Let Go (2).

The Chainsmokers and Halsey's Closer holds at Number 3 and The Weeknd and Daft Punk's hook-up Starboy could enjoy a fifth week inside the Top 5 (4). Concluding this week's potential Top 5 is Hailee Steinfeld's Starving - her tag team with Grey and Zedd is at Number 5 today.

New entries and high climbers

Norwegian producer Neiked continues his ascent up the Official Singles Chart with Sexual, leaping six spots to Number 6 at the midweek stage. Interestingly, the vocalist on the track Dyo will make her fifth UK Top 10 appearance should the song keep up its momentum.

Three credited collabs with Wiley under her former moniker Ms D - including the Number 1 single Heatwave - and an uncredited slot on Chipmunk's chart topper Oopsy Daisy are already under her belt.

Clean Bandit rebound from the departure of their member Neil Amin-Smith with a possible Number 7 placing with new single Rockabye, which features vocals from Sean Paul and Anne-Marie. Bruno Mars' 24K Magic is just behind, rising two rungs to Number 8, a probable new peak.

Fresh from his X Factor performance last night, Shawn Mendes' Mercy blasts 20 slots to Number 20 and Galantis' Love On Me rises five to 32.

Finally, it looks like two songs could hit the Top 40 for the first time this Friday. Kings of Leon's Waste A Moment floats seven places to 38, and Kideko and George Kwali's Crank It shoots from Number 50 to Number 39.

Sexual climbing to 6, what a joke, but really, the vocalist on that song is Ms. D, the person who did those songs with Wiley? God, her voice has got even worse!
