I took a pill in Ibiza has now been no.1 for 4 weeks now, I don't want it to be no.1 for too long.

his is for you all that don´t like "The Official Singles/Albums" chart. Now I only go through the "Sales Chart". It doesn´t include any streaming s****t or anything, just the sales in various formats. I just don´t understand why something like (a wild guess!!!) 1000 streams would equal one sold single/album. What´s the deal with that?? I could go to Spotify and put a song playing nonstop like for a week, let´s say Queen´s Bohemian Rhapsody and make my millions of friends on Facebook/Twitter and other places to do the same and whoops. Bohemian Rhapsody would get to number 1 once again!!

Suddenly I got wondering why KYLIE´s GRRRRRREEEEAT tracks "Right Here Right Now" and "There Other Boys" never charted?? What´s the deal with those? I´ve always thought that you guys there in the UK love her music. So why not those 2 hypnotising tracks just did´t make it to the singles chart? Is there some kinda Anti-Kylie thingy going on or what? Greetings from Finland!!!

"I still think it's poor that the pet shop boys can get to no 44 in sales chart but not in the top 100 in this chart, evidence that sales have sod all to do with the chart anymore. Ten or twenty places different ok but that is ridiculous."

Pet Shop Boys last top 40 hit was 'Did You See Me Coming'. Reached no 21 in 2009. All single releases after that failed to break the top 40 which is evidence the PSB are no longer a popular singles group. They still appeal to the album fanbase. Super - their new album - a new entry at number 3 in the album chart.

I think their dance single 'Thursday' should have been a top 20 or top 10 hit. Classic PSB!

I so agree!! One of the best dance music groups of all time. Never fail to make some classic dance music songs! Just wonder why people can´t see (hear) that??

The charts this week are way better than last weeks, with 18 brand new entries!

Basically only because of Kanye West, and the charts isn't solely based on how many new entries there are.

True, I wonder how high in the charts cake by the ocean will get.

Good chart this week. Pleased to see Mike Posner at No.1 again and four new entries in the Top 40 is also good. Hopefully "Faded" by Alan Walker can climb a bit more. I think it'll be between "I Took A Pill In Ibiza", "Cheap Thrills" or "One Dance" for No.1 next week.

Hoping "Cheap Thrills" can get a second shot to go number 1 next week because it failed to do that this week despite vying for the top spot earlier.

It'll depend on how well the surprise Drake singles perform. If he flops on iTunes over the next seven days then Sia is likely to overtake Mike Posner overall to become No.1, if not then "One Dance" also has a chance of next week's top spot. You're right though - I'd also like "Cheap Thrills" to be the next No.1.

There may be 4 new entries in the Top 40 but there is NONE in the Top 20 which is quite unusual. I really love the fact though that Number One singles remain at the top for several weeks, like in the old days.

The lack of him on Spotify is going to hurt his chances hard. If the opposition (Ibiza or Cheap Thrills) has top 5 sales and top 2 streams, he'll need to beat them by around 20,000 to 40,000 raw sales to compensate, which I can't see happening especially since the songs spent a few days of their launch hype this week.

I'm glad it's spent more weeks at number 1 than Black f**kin Magic. Now let's see if it can get ahead of 7 Years' run.

I'm not, I hate him. Hopefully this is the one hit wonders last week at number one. The song is total rubbish. Juvenile should be sung by a 19 yo, not someone pushing 30. Pathetic.

Hang on... is Thinking Out Loud actually going to drop out of the Top 100?

S

Touch and go. Everything in the lower reaches either falling fast or new so it depends how fast the others fall and whether the new entries hang on. It seems almost a shame for it not to get to 100 weeks now.

Hopefully.

Depends on whether Kanye's album has staying power next week. Note how there were 10 entries from the album, which account for more than half of TOL's drop of 18 positions this week.

Not happy that AlunaGeorge missed out on the Top 40 AGAIN... At least there's a good number of new entries this week
