Actually really excited about this one! :)
I hope 'Shotgun' can retake the #1 spot, as well as 'Body' & 'Eastside' climbing into the Top 5.

In My Feelings is still the most popular song here- Shotgun has only gone back to #1 because of it being reduced to 59p on downloads, and once the missing streaming data is added Drake will be well ahead. I'm honestly pretty bored of it now, and I never liked it as much as Paradise, so I won't be too happy to see it at #1 again! In My Feelings has grown on me a lot since Scorpion was first released though, so I hope it stays at the top for the rest of the summer to be honest.

Body and Eastside have really impressed me with how quickly they've managed to climb, both were songs I didn't have pegged as Top 5 smashes at first so this is really surprising! I'm also surprised Lucid Dreams is still stuck outside the Top 10, as it's doing well on downloads, streams, and video views.

I hope so too, least in 5 years to come people will be like wow that shotgun by George ezra was such a great summer tune as opposed to do you remember that lame dance we used to try and do to that drake song, what was it called again?
Hope the bugsy malone song with rag and bone man will make a good impact by Friday, lots of good new songs gaining momentum so far let's hope they all get up higher

Hey was wondering if you was interested with our discussion on Reddit
Also I would prefer to see lucid dreams in the top ten now rather than taste but I reckon it will next week

True, although 'In My Feelings' has fallen back on iTunes recently, while its streaming figures weren't the same as they were about a month ago (at least 700k daily back then, between 500-550k per day now).
'Shotgun' & 'In My Feelings' have both grown on me a fair bit, so I don't mind which is #1. Both are decent, but none are amazing to me.
Regarding those other two songs to mentioned. 'Eastside' came out of nowhere really, but I genuinely knew 'Body' would be a hit over here when I first heard it, although not as big as a Top 5 hit! The latter is probably going to end up as my favourite song of 2018 believe it or not.
'Lucid Dreams' should definitely enter the Top 10 next week, given that it's still growing nicely on sales & streaming. Too bad I don't like the song though.
^ EDIT: So apparently it didn't, really surprised by that given its traction on Spotify, where it was #4 there today.

If I'm being honest, I don't think many people will remember either in five years from now. I'd say 'Shotgun' might finish slightly higher than 'In My Feelings' in the Chart Of The Year due to more consistency, particularly on sales.
I haven't heard that Bugzy Malone & Rag'n'Bone Man song yet, what's it called?

Have to disagree with you there- to be honest, I know quite a few people who think Shotgun is a bit of a cringey song (yes, really). I don't think it's that bad, but I do think it's his 'selling out' song, in a way. It doesn't really sound all that much like his usual sound, much more poppier. Paradise (and all his other singles tbh) deserved to go to #1 much more than it!

And then on the other hand In My Feelings is still the most streamed song on Spotify, and even if people look back on the dance challenge thinking it was stupid, it won't change the fact that Drake is one of the most popular artists of this decade.

In the end, Shotgun only went back to #1 because of a price decrease, and some stupid rumour about George burping in the song- ironically, something viral helped the song this week, just like In My Feelings' dance challenge!

It's called ordinary people. I like how bugsy malone is not afraid to branch out with different artists makes him quite dynamic. Will see in 5 years time I guess!

I think that's the whole point of the song Ted, George even said it himself he created it to be a summer feel good song that's catchy. It is what he wanted it to be a sing along track.
It goes to show if drake is one of the most popular artists of the decade how poor music is this decade, although that's not entirely true as there are loads of great artists releasing music they just dont get the chance when drakes record label promotes him so well on streaming services ensuring he is on all playlists etc. In my feelings wouldnt have been a hit at all without the viral dance, dont matter to me was the best seller when scorpion originally came out, in my feelings nowhere near then the dance craze hit. George Ezra went number 1 long and though I doubt that many people went to listen more because of a burp, it's been doing well week in, week out otherwise it would have plummeted down by now already.
