Don't get me wrong i do like your lists and i'm glad you've included the Seekers, but great music is great music if it has 100 weeks in the charts or if it has no weeks in the chart at all.... p.s. Live at the Talk of the Town-Tom Jones should be in there somewhere.

Hi Michael. I'm simply saying how many weeks the albums have been around, not comparing who is great and who isn't. The Seekers are there because they are level with Taylor Swift - who I mentioned because her run is over. I mentioned Ed because his run is active. Thanks for pointing out the Tom omission. He was 87 consecutive weeks.

Fair point. I do like your lists and i appreciate all the hard work you put in. But i do like new music too. Having just come here via You Tube watching Amiina and Agnes Obel i hope their new albums later on this year do well.I'm not asking for 100 weeks in the top 40 just one would be nice. Good luck and keep the lists coming.

Currently at #49, after having previosly spent 2 weeks at the top, 13 weeks at the Top 10, and 20 consecutive weeks at the Top 20 while simultaneously racking 1,037,872 in sales BUT not as an active artist, or even being one amongst the recently deceased, but some 38 years and 27 weeks AFTER passing away or, to put it more bluntly, 56 years after spénding 45 minutes on UK soil, on an Army stopover, his only time here, that is what I would call the most remarkable feature on this week's chart. Elvis and the RPO at #49 on their album's 27th week of release...

That's an incredible performance by the Billy Ocean compilation. Meanwhile Ed's 100 consecutive weeks in the top 20 looks on a knife edge.
