It got to #3 with no promotion and is 5 x platinum (UK) sales. Her Greatest Hits went to #1 and is approaching 6 x platinum. Mind you- she has several other million-selling albums in the UK (Whitney Houston, Whitney, the Bodyguard, My Love is Your Love) so she is doing great!

death is the best promotion anyone can have.

Yeah but it aint juss abahrt sales, iss the vocal wot counts. As I said Gladys Knight, Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Anita Baker, Donna Summer, Tina Turner et al all better singers than wot she is n thass all there is to it.

And how unexpected to see ELO/Jeff Lynne back in the top 10 with a new record, as well as back in the 30 with his band's classic hits collectio!!! ELO have aways been one of my guilty pleasures.....their singles were brilliant between the 1970s and the mid 1980s.....and it's great that two of my other favourite acts, Grandaddy and Super Furry Animals, also owe a huge debt to them by way of their influence!

Wow - New Order's Music Complete manages the almost unthinkable: it actually goes FOUR PLACES BACK UP the top 100 after almost dropping out at 96 last week - and this makes it their longest charting LP since (8 weeks) Republic over 20 years ago managed 19 weeks.......usually their albums always drop prodigiously and plummet out after 4 or 5 weeks - their last three did anyway, and yet this newie seems to have defied all expectations and bucked the trend by actually going back up again!!! Normally I don't give a stuff about charts these days (unlike the heydays of the 1970s, 1980s and even 1990s, the 2000s charts have always been a bit inconsequential only cos most new chart acts are and worthless!) but this is a most unexpected surprise......

i even said that there a few mins ago on the New Order/Electronic site. Tour..Spotify, Extended Mixes Boxset, and the fact the tunes get better and better. Been a fan for 25 years, they make me so proud. Ian woulda been proud.

Jeff Lynne's ELO should be #1 with the new album and should be staying on the chart for 3 years. Jeff Lynne is here to save the music. That is being said by a german citizen.

Wow! Jeff Lynne's ELO at No. 4! First Top 5 album for ELO since 1994. Or, if you count regular albums only, since 1983.
