For those (im)patiently for new music from Years & Years, the wait is almost over as thee trio have unveiled a taster of their upcoming second album.

The group, made up of Olly, Emre and Mikey, released their chart-topping debut album Communion in 2015 - and it looks like they're finally ready to unleash the follow-up.

The group performed a brand new song called DNA during Radio 1's Sound of 2018 show on January 30. The clip of the track recently featured on Olly's BBC documentary, Growing Up Gay, but this is the first time it's been heard in full.

Olly also said more new music from Years & Years will be arriving in "weeks, not months" at the show, so keep your eyes and ears peeled. The band are booked to play Boardmasters festival in August and a show in Paris in July, so it's safe to assume something will arrive before then.

Years & Years debut collection Communion spent two weeks at Number 1 in summer 2015. The collection spawned the chart-topping track King plus hit singles Shine, Eyes Shut and Desire. Look back at their complete chart history here.
