The Walking Dead could deny Captain America of 2016's longest-reigning Official Video Chart Number 1

Zombie TV juggernaut The Walking Dead could stop Captain America: Civil War from earning the longest reigning Official Video Chart Number 1 of 2016.

OfficialCharts.com can reveal in today's Update that The Walking Dead - Complete 6th Season on DVD and Blu-Ray is outselling the Civil War (3) by 5,000 copies at the mid-week stage. The latest Marvel film is currently tied with Star Wars: The Force Awakens for the longest stint at Number 1 this year with three weeks, but could miss out on that status in its own right should it not hit the four week mark.

This week's Number 2 is a new entry for Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling film The Good Guys, Number 4 is the former Number 1 Disney's The Jungle Book and Kate Beckinsale's period drama Love & Friendship could hit the Top 5 on Sunday (5).

New entries and high climbers 

Belgian-French children's animation Robinson Crusoe shipwrecks to this week's Number 6, YouTube stars KSI and Casper Lee are at Number 11 with their debut film Laid in America and the fourth season of Elementary starring Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu is new at 12.

Former Official Video Chart Number 1 Goosebumps starring Jack Black is set to rebound seven places to Number 27, supernatural horror film The Darkness is new at Number 33 and finally, The Last Witch Hunter is back in the Top 40, up 17 places to 36.
