Silver Linings Playbook tops the Official Video Chart

Comedy drama Silver Linings Playbook knocks Rise Of The Guardians off the top of the Official Video Chart.

Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence’s new romantic comedy-drama, Silver Linings Playbook, was the biggest selling video title in the UK last week.

The film, which also stars Robert De Niro and Chris Tucker, has gone straight in at Number 1 on the Official Video Chart and the Official DVD Chart and Official Blu-ray Chart, too.

Rise Of The Guardians and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 are both down one place to Number 2 and Number 3, respectively, while comedy crime caper The Heist (starring Morgan Freeman, Christopher Walken, William H. Macy) is ne win at Number 4.

The latest instalment of the James Bond franchise, Skyfall (Number 5), completes this week’s Top 5.

New Releases

In addition to Silver Linings Playbook (Number 1) and The Heist (4), there are three other new entries son this week’s Official Video Chart.

The Man With The Iron Fists enters the Official Video Chart Top 10 at Number 6. Written by former Wu-Tang Clan member RZA and Eli Roth (Hostel), the US martial arts spectacular stars Russell Crowe.

This week’s new entries are completed by Call The Midwife – Series Two (18) and Miley Cyrus’ So Undercover (19).
