Sam Smith reclaims albums top spot with In The Lonely Hour

Sam Smith has returned to Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart, 15 weeks after its debut.

The album, which first topped the charts back in June, climbs four places and overtakes midweek leaders Royal Blood to take pole position on the tally. The record includes Number 1 singles Money On My Mind and Stay With Me as well as his latest track I’m Not The Only One, which reaches a new peak at Number 5 this week.

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran’s X slips from 2 to 3, and Maroon 5 debut at Number 4 with their fifth studio album V. The record also marks their fifth Top 10 album and includes the single Maps, which entered the Official Singles Chart at Number 2 last week.

Rounding off this week’s Top 5 is George Ezra, who climbs three places to Number 5 this week with Wanted On Voyage.
