Rihanna’s Diamonds has knocked Psy’s Gangman Style off the top of the Official Streaming Chart!

After a three week run at Number 1 on the Official Streaming Chart, K-pop sensation Psy’s Gangnam Style has been ousted from the top spot by Rihanna. The Bajan superstar, who was last week crowned the UK’s second biggest selling female singles artist of all time, climbs up one place with Diamonds after three weeks on the chart.

The Official Streaming Chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company on behalf of the British music industry, and has been running since May. It is the first chart which ranks audio streams from both ad-funded and subscription streaming services in the UK, which reflects the increasing interest in the new generation of music services such as Spotify, Deezer, Napster and We7.

Swedish House Mafia’s Don’t You Worry Child FT John Martin climbs four places to Number 6. Gangnam Style is at Number 3, and Taylor Swift’s We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together holds firm at Number 4. The Script FT Will.I.Am’s Hall Of Fame (Number 5) completes this week’s Top 5.

Labrinth FT Emelie Sande’s Beneath Your Beautiful is this week’s highest new entry on the Official Streaming Chart. The track, which climbed to Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart on Sunday, is the first of eight new entries, making its debut at Number 21.

Disclosure FT Sam Smith’s Latch is new in at Number 58, while Rebecca Ferguson’s Backtrack enters at 68. JLSHottest Girl In The World and The LumineersHo Hey are at 78 and 83, respectively, while the final three new entries come courtesy of Nottingham singer songwriter Jake Bugg: Seen It All (87), Trouble Town (88) and Country Song (93).
