Radiohead man scores top selling classical album

Radiohead guitarist / keyboardist Jonny Greenwood can now add another accolade to his musical trophy cabinet – a Top 10 classical album.

With eight Top 10 albums - including five Number 1s - to their name, Radiohead are no strangers to chart success. But now Jonny Greenwood can add another accolade to his musical trophy cabinet – a Top 10 classical album.

The guitarist / keyboardist’s collaboration with Polish composer and conductor Krzysztof Penderecki, Threnody For The Victims Of Hiroshima / Popcorn Superhet Receiver / Polymorphia / 48 Responses To Polymorphia, has entered the Official Specialist Classical Chart at Number 7.

Krzysztof Penderecki, along with the Aukso Chamber Orchestra, will be performing the album live in its entirety at London’s Barbican Hall this Thursday, March 22. For tickets see www.barbican.org.uk.
