Tonight, Monday April 9 legendary DJ Tony Blackburn with count down the UK’s Top 40 biggest selling albums of all-time live on BBC Radio 2.

The top 40 chart run down, which was compiled for the BBC by the Official Charts Company, will be broadcast between 4 and 7pm this evening.

“This chart is a real mixed bag and I think listeners will be quite surprised,” says Blackburn. “There are artists in there you would expect to see in a countdown of this nature but not necessarily at the positions that they are.

“I was really surprised to see who hadn’t made it in – no sign of the massively successful acts like The Rolling Stones, Elvis, Diana Ross or Marvin Gaye,” he adds. "Listeners are in for a real treat. There’s something for everyone in the chart and it’ll be the perfect way to spend the Bank Holiday Monday afternoon.”

Tune in online at www.bbc.co.uk/radio2, on DAB digital radio or on 88-91 FM. If you can't listen live, the full Top 40 biggest selling Briitsh albums of all-time will be published tomorrow here on www.officialcharts.com.
