Phil Collins announces 2017 European tour, residency at the Royal Albert Hall

Phil Collins is coming out of retirement to embark on a three-city, 15-date European tour titled Not Dead Yet: Live.

Speaking at the A Morning with Phil Collins event in London hosted by Jools Holland, Phil revealed June 2017 dates for a five night residency at the Royal Albert Hall, in addition to two other residencies in Paris and Cologne. 

Phil said: "I thought I would retire quietly, but thanks to the fans, my family and support from some extraordinary artists, I have rediscovered my passion for music and performing. It's time to do it all again and I'm excited. It just feels right."

The Genesis front-man retired in 2011 after nerve damage left him unable to carry out his iconic drumming. His last tour dates were as part of a Genesis reunion in the summer of 2007. 

Phil's tour announcement comes as part of a big week of releases for the In The Air Tonight singer - his autobiography Not Dead Yet is out later this week, and retrospective album The Singles was released last Friday.

Phil has amassed three Number 1 singles and six Number 1 albums as a solo artist, earning a further six chart toppers as part of Genesis. View Phil's full UK chart history here.

Phil will play London's Royal Albert Hall on June 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9. Tickets will be available this Friday (October 21).
