Pharrell Williams gets his 2014 off to a great start by reclaiming the Number 1 spot after just one week away.

Last week saw Pharrell knocked off the top of the Official Singles Chart by the partying juggernauts Pitbull and Ke$ha, but revenge is sweet and Pharrell didn’t have to wait too long to dish his out.

Happy takes the Number 1 spot for a second non-consecutive week after toppling the Miami rapper’s Timber.

In 2013, he scored the two biggest-selling singles of the year and it looks like he means business in 2014, too. Happy takes pole position this week with over 107,000 copies sold.

Meanwhile, Swedish DJ and producer Avicii spends another week at Number 3 with Hey Brother, his sixth Top 10 hit. Jason Derulo also holds firm at Number 4 with Trumpets.

Fuse ODG jumps nine places to Number 5 with Million Pound Girl (Badder Than Bad) scoring his highest UK chart position to date, after debut single Antenna peaked at Number 7 last year.

British DJ duo Matrix & Futurebound climb 11 places to Number 7, securing their highest ever chart position with Control FT Marshall.

New Entries and High Climbers

Dutch DJ Hardwell gets his first ever UK Top 40 hit this week. Dare You, featuring American vocalist Matthew Koma, is new at Number 18.

Beyoncé rockets 17 places with Drunk In Love to achieve her 17th Top 10 hit. The collaboration with hubby Jay Z is at Number 10.

Sub FocusTurn Back Time zooms 30 places to re-enter the Top 40 at Number 15. American rockers Awolnation go back up 14 places to give Sail a new peak position of Number 17, and Kid Ink is on his way back up 28 places to re-enter the Top 40 and give Show Me FT Chris Brown its highest chart position at Number 32. Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy leaps 50 places to Number 35, making Riptide his first ever UK Top 40 hit.

Stage actress and former Glee star Idina Menzel gets her first Top 40 hit with Let It Go, from the film Frozen, at Number 36. Rapper Busta Rhymes climbs 61 places to Number 37, taking Thank You into the Top 40 for the first time.
