18 years ago this month, Daphne & Celeste caused a stir when they landed in the Top 10 on the Official Singles Chart with Ooh Stick You!, a two-fingered salute to, well, just about everyone.

Two more Top 20 hits followed, but they disappeared shortly after their debut album missed the Top 100, re-emerging in 2015 for a one-off track called You & I Alone. Look back at Daphne & Celeste's UK chart history here.

Today (Feb 7) sees the pair back on the comeback trail, having released new song BB (which stands for Basic Busker) and announced details of their long, long awaited (for some, we're sure) second album, boldly titled Daphne & Celeste Save The World.

"Hey folks - we are a couple of humans named Daphne and Celeste," the duo said. "You haven't seen us for a while, but we've been busy making something very special for you all. Gather round and we'll tell you all about it." Watch the album teaser below:

The single and album are produced by electronic musician/vocalist Max Tundra. Discussing the new single, he said: “BB stands for Basic Busker, any one of countless identikit instigators of mundane melodies that have brought the mood down in recent years. Pop music should lift the spirits – so why are the airwaves full of these mundane strummers?”.
