One Direction have scored the fastest selling single of 2013 so far with new Comic Relief release One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks).

Harry, Zayn, Niall, Louis and Liam AKA One Direction performed their new fundraising single One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks) at the BRIT Awards on Wednesday night, and have this week racked up impressive sales of 113,000 copies, the best opening week of any single so far this year.

One Way Or Another is a cover of the Blondie classic of the same name, incorporating John Peel favourite Teenage Kicks by The Undertones. The 1D lads can now count it as their third Official Number 1 and sixth Top 10 single in less than 18 months.

Macklemore And Ryan Lewis' Thrift Shop (Number 2) and Bauuer's Harlem Shake (Number 3) are non-movers this week, while returning US superstar Justin Timberlake picks up his second Top 5 hit of the year with Mirrors (4) which climbs 24 places since last week. JT has a second single in the Top 20 today as Suit & Tie moves up two places to Number 14.

The week's highest climber comes courtesy of Ben Howard's Only Love, up a staggering 181 places to Number 9. You can see the full impact of this year's BRIT Awards on the Official Singles and Albums Charts here.
