Plus: The latest instalment of the hit series becomes the biggest selling compilation album of 2013 so far.

Now That’s What I Call Music 85 today spends its sixth consecutive week at Number 1 on the Official Compilations Chart. And, in the process, it has gone on to oust its predecessor, Now 84 (which was released in March), as the biggest selling compilation album of 2013 so far!

The latest instalment of the Now… series was released in July, and features 44 Official Singles Chart Top 40 hits including Number 1s from the likes of Daft Punk (Get Lucky), Robin (Blurred Lines), Justin Timberlake (Mirrors), Ant And Dec (Let’s Get Ready To Rhumble), John Newman (Love Me Again) and Duke Dumont (Need U 100%). Now 85 sold more than 37,000 copies last week, almost twice as many as this week’s Number 1 artist album. Its total sales tally currently stands at nearly 730,000 copies.

Teenage Dirtbags, UMTV’s new collection of classic rock and pop punk tracks, holds firm at Number 2 on this week’s Official Compilation Albums Chart with nearly 27,000 sales. KISS FM’s Kisstory debuts at Number 3, while Now That’s What I Call Disco is new in at Number 4. This week’s Top 5 is completed by Sony Music’s The ‘80s.
