Noah Stewart becomes first black artist to top Official Classical Chart

Noah Stewart has become the first black artist to top the Official Classical Albums Chart.
The Harlem-born opera singer's debut album, Noah, has shot straight to Number 1 on the Official Classical Albums Chart. Noah also entered the Official Albums Chart at Number 14 - this week's second highest new entry behind Madonna’s MDNA.
Martin Talbot, Managing Director of the Official Charts Company comments: “This is a truly ground-breaking achievement for Noah Stewart. Most people naturally look to the Official Singles and Albums charts for the emergence of exciting new talent, but Noah is sure to become a familiar name for years to come following this landmark breakthrough.”
