Nicki Minaj announces new album Queen

It's Nicki's first album since 2014.

Nicki Minaj has announced a new release date for her upcoming album Queen, pushing it back to August 10. 

The US rapper also confirmed that three surprises will drop between June 11 and 15, including the Queen album artwork.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: It was a big night for Nicki Minaj at the Met Gala last night - she revealed the first details of her new album.

Nicki's fourth studio album is titled Queen and arrives next month on June 15. Nicki shared the exciting news with E! News at the event.

The reporter claimed Nicki was bringing 'seductress realness' to the red carpet, which Nicki replied with:  "You know why? I'm the bad guy and I wanted to make sure bitches knew that the bad guy was here. Album dropping June 15. It's called Queen." 

Nicki had time for some casual namedrops too. Who was she excited to see on the dancefloor? 

"I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. I mean... some of them are actual people I would call friends like Madonna and Ariana. I'm just excited to be here."

Having previously collaborated with Madge and Ari, could either of them make an appearance on Nicki's upcoming album? Queen is Nicki's fourth studio album, and arrives four years after The Pinkprint. 

Queen will feature the Top 40 singles Clun-Li and Barbie Tingz, which become Nicki's 27th an 28th UK Top 40 singles. View Nicki Minaj's full UK chart history here, including the Number 1 album Pink Friday.
