Mrs Brown's Boys Live Tour - Good Mourning Mrs Brown has debuted at Number 1 on the Official Video Chart, giving Brendan O'Carroll’s formidable Irish matriarch her second chart topper of the year. The first series of Mrs Brown’s Boys, which is at Number 29 on today’s Official Video Chart, has sold an impressive 1.4 million copies since it was released last October.
Michael Mcintyre’s latest live offering, Showtime, is this week’s second highest new entry, debuting at Number 2, while Men In Black III falls two places to Number 3. Disney’s new Christmas film, Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups enter the chart at Number 4, while Mrs Brown’s Boys Series 2 (Number 5) completes this week’s Top 5.
Comedy titles dominate the new entries on this week’s Official Video Chart proving beyond any doubt that UK loves a good laugh. The Rollercoaster Tour by Liverpudlian comic John Bishop is at Number 6 while Glaswegian funny man Kevin Bridges’ live show The Story Continues is new in at Number 8. The new entries are completed by Sarah Millican’s latest offering Thoroughly Modern (Number 16).
The biggest climber on this week’s chart is modern Christmas classic Elf. Staring Will Farrell as Santa’s lovable helper Buddy, the 2003 comedy jumps from 99 to 23.
