Mrs Brown and her boys keep Sherlock off the top spot

Mrs Brown’s Boys – Series One has retained its Number 1 position on the Official Video Chart for a second consecutive week the Official Charts Company can confirm.

Series One of the hit RTE/BBC comedy show, which stars comedian Brendan O'Carroll as the eponymous Brown family matriarch, surged ahead of the DVD and Blu-ray release of Series Two of Steven Moffat’s and Mark Gatiss’ modern day, small screen revamp of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s detective series (3), which had been leading the race to Number 1 in last week’s sales flashes.

Hit US comedy Bridesmaids is this week’s highest climbe,r up 17 places to Number 2, while last week’s Number 2, Killer Elite, falls two places to Number 4. Series One of Sherlock completes this week’s Top 5.
