Meghan Trainor’s album Title set to debut at Number 1

Title, which is currently 5000 copies ahead of its nearest competitor, Ed Sheeran’s X (2), has previously debuted at Number 1 in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The album features Top 5 singles All About That Bass and Lips Are Movin, as well as collaborations with Shy Carter and John Legend.

Elsewhere, indie rock group The Charlatans enter at 3 midweek with their 12th studio album Modern Nature - the group’s first release since the death of drummer Jon Brookes.

Current Official Albums Chart Number 1 Mark Ronson’s Uptown Special is down three places to 4 today, followed by singer-songwriter Rae Morris with her debut Unguarded, new at 5.

New Entries

There are seven further new entries in today’s Official Albums Chart Top 40. US rock band Papa Roach are on track to score their fifth UK Top 40 with F.E.A.R (8), while former Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes is set to make his solo Top 40 debut with second LP Matador (13).

Prog rockers Periphery have two new entries in today’s Update, Juggernaut – Alpha enters at 22, with Juggernaut – Omega following at 27.

Elsewhere, Chicane’s The Sum of Its Parts is at 24 and collective Bethel Music’s We Will Not Be Shaken – Live is at 26.

Former Disney star Selena Gomez is heading for her second solo, and fifth overall, UK Top 40 album with For You (33).

There are two re-entries in today’s Top 40. Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit are at 25 today with their third studio album Stay Gold, trailed by Maroon 5 who are up seven places to 40 with V.
