It looks like James Bond's spell at the top of the Official Video Chart will be brought to an end this week... by Dame Maggie Smith no less!

Maggie's The Lady In The Van tops today's Official Video Chart Update, pushing Spectre down two places to Number 3. With DVD and Blu-Ray sales tallying in excess of 130,000 at the midweek stage, The Lady In The Van is currently outselling the rest of the Top 5 combined.

The Lady In The Van is the true story about Mary Shepherd, who lived in a van on the film writer's driveway (Alan Bennett) for 15 years. Dame Maggie has portrayed Shepherd twice before, both on stage and for a radio adaptation. Maggie's performance in the original play adaptation earned her an Oliver Award nomination.

New Entries and High Climbers

A further two new entries are on course for a Top 10 placing this week, including The Last Witch Hunter starring Vin Diesel, which looks set to debut at Number 2. Doctor Who - The Complete 9th Series has landed at 7, whilst Scouts Guide to The Zombie Apocalypse make its first appearance just outside the Top 10 (11).

Further down the chart, Sylvester Stallone epic Rambo makes a reappearance at 31 and two new entries sneak into the Top 40; David and Goliath is at Number 37 and Vera - Series Six debuts at 38.
