Making history, that is how they do it down in Puerto Rico...

The official music video for Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's Despacito broke YouTube records back in August when it came the most viewed clip ever on the platform and the first to surpass three billion views. Now, it's pushed the envelope even further.

Despacito is the first video, music or otherwise, to reach four billion watches on YouTube. This achievement means that it has gained a further one billion hits in just two months. For a song that translates to 'Slowly', Despacito is the complete opposite!

Psy's Gangnam Style was the most watched YouTube video for a number of years, until Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's See You Again overtook back in July. Now the second most-watched clip, See You Again is on 3.15 billion, at the time of writing.

As well as being named the UK's Official song of the summer by Official Charts last month (the most streamed and downloaded song of that period), the song's remix featuring Justin Bieber spent 11 weeks at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, becoming one of only five songs in history to have three separate stints at the top.

Despacito is also the longest reigning foreign language chart topper in the UK, and is the second biggest song of 2017 so far behind Ed Sheeran's Shape of You.

Worldwide, Despacito is the most streamed song ever, the joint longest-reigning Number 1 ever on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, and topped the charts in over 40 countries.

what are you talking about? the video doesn't feature justin bieber anywhere since its the original version of the song, not the bieber's remix. i think you watched an unofficial fan-made video of the bieber's remix which featured random old video clips of him, the remix doesn't have an official video, the only official video is the one for the original version that only features fonsi and yankee.
