Lorde released her debut album Pure Heroine in the UK in November 2013, where it reached Number 4 on the Official Albums Chart. The collection included the spin-off singles Tennis Court, Team and Number 1 hit Royals.

She has since released a handful songs on film soundtracks, including a cover of Tears For Fears' Everybody Wants To Rule The World for the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt 1 soundtrack, which she curated.
