Listen to Taylor Swift’s new single Welcome To New York
Taylor Swift has announced the follow up to Official Singles Chart Top 5 hit Shake It Off will be Welcome To New York.
The track, which was co-written with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, is the second to be lifted from the Taylor’s upcoming fifth studio album 1989, which is set for UK release on Monday (October 27).

“New York has been an important landscape and location for the story of my life in the last couple of years,” Taylor says, “The inspiration that I found in that city is hard to describe and hard to compare to any other force of inspiration I’ve ever experienced in my life. It’s like an electric city.”

Taylor Swift has scored 13 Official Singles Chart Top 40 hits, with Love Story (2009), I Knew You Were Trouble (2012), We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (2012) and Shake It Off (2014) all entering the Top 5.
Taylor has also racked up three Official Albums Chart Top 10s, with 2012’s Red hitting the Number 1 spot.
