N.E.R.D. have released their first new music for seven years.

Lemon is the first song from the Pharrell Williams fronted band since 2010 and two versions have been released, one with Barbadian superstar Rihanna, and another with just the band's three members.

The track's official video has also been revealed following the song's first premiere on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show.

N.E.R.D. last shared an official single in 2010 with Hypnotize U from their fourth studio album Nothing. The trio did however release promotional songs Squeeze Me, Patrick Star, and Sandy Squirrel from The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. N.E.R.D. are most famous for their hits She Wants To Move, Rock Star and Provider.

Rumours that the group were going to return spread across the internet after posters branding the band's full name No-One Ever Really Dies were spotted at Tyler, The Creator‘s Camp Flog Gnaw festival in Los Angeles.

Since the band began their hiatus, Pharrell's career has skyrocketed as both a producer and performer. He scored three Number 1, million-selling hits in the UK with Blurred Lines, Get Lucky and Happy. He notched up a fourth chart topper earlier this year as a featured act on Calvin Harris' Feels.
